Family Kayak Tours
Description
Ready for a Florida kayaking experience your family will never forget? Our Family Kayak Tours are tailored to families with teenagers, young children or both. There is excitement for all ages! The time we spend kayaking is broken up by swimming and playing on sand bars, so it is good even for the little ones.
Ever wonder what the tide brings in from the ocean? Well, let’s find out! Sharks teeth, shells, crabs — bring your collecting bags! At low tide many sandbars are exposed leaving islands with tidal pools. Sometimes marine life will get caught in them as the tide goes out, so we never know what we will find or where we will explore. This trip focuses on learning through experience while having fun and being safe on the water. The three locations we offer family tours are coastal environments with sandbars, inland beaches, and all the animals that live and feed in the estuary: leaping dolphins, grazing manatees, soaring eagles and osprey, and let’s not forget the sea turtles that nest off our shores. We have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of all these amazing creatures and thousands more on this uniquely Florida kayaking experience.
This trip is perfect for the family on the run, looking to fill a few hours with excitement and fun! For a great Florida kayaking experience for the whole family, come with First Coast on one of our Family Kayak Tours!
Choose from one of our 3 family friendly locations. These are all amazing locations, so choose your trip according to where you are staying or check out a new spot.
The Ribault Club is located just across the St. Johns River ferry on the Kingsley Plantation loop road and ten miles south of Amelia Island. This tour is in the greater Timucuan Preserve, with 46,000 acres of pristine estuary to explore.
Vilano and Salt Run feed into St. Augustine Inlet. This area has extremely wonderful views of the historic land marks of our nation’s “Oldest City”. We stop for a swim on beautiful Anastasia Island State Park, within the greater Guana Talomoto Matanzas National Esturine Research Reserve (GTMNERR)
